Taking a closer look at this years stars: Dragonfly feat. Dado Topić

One of the oldest and most experienced singers in this years contest comes from Croatia. Dado Topić born in 1949 started is carrear while he was still a teenager as a member of rock bands Devils Elixire, Dynamite and Korni Grupa where he sang for about a year. He left Korni to form his own band - Time - which he left after 10 year in order to develope his solo career.

Troughout the years of his very successful career Dado stayed faithfull to rock, soul and blues, with a sweet mixture of funk.

He has received many awards, including "best rock vocal and composer" in the year 2006 and reached a new highlight this year when he won the popular Croatia pre-selection for Eurovision the Dora 2007.

In Helsinki he will sing Vjerujem u ljubav (I believe in love) with the group Dragonfly. This formation was formed in the mid 90's under the name The Draggerrs.

Besides the lead singer Iva Gluhak the band is composed of three more member: Drago Vidaković and Branko Kužnar-Žan in the guitars and Branko Badanjak who plays the drums.

Dragonfly has developed their own sound, having played with some important member os the Croatian music scene while playing all year round in Croatian clubs and touring the Adriatic coast. During their career they have had excellent feedback from audiences and music analysts.
