Song of the Week: In your eyes.

After listening to the new version of the Irish song for this year contest I decided that in these third Song of the Week I would honour Eurovision most successful country: Ireland. From the seven possible choices I picked out In your eyes, winner of the 1993 ESC, performed flawlessly by Niamh Kavanagh.
In your eyes was Ireland 5th victory and it is in my opinion a very underrated song.
This beautiful ballad has the power to take us back to a time when slow songs and simple acts could still win Eurovision…
Maybe in 2006 a ballad will triumph again and why not Every song is a cry for love?!
