Poland: Follow my heart

Poland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994. Their first entry, To nie ja sang by Edyta Górniak, is also their best result ever: 2nd place.
In 1995, 1996 and 1997 the Polish entries were all of extreme originality and musical quality. However has the years went by their results got worse and worse, culminating with a first relegation in 2000.
In the 2003 contest held in Riga the Polish entry was sang in 3 different languages. This song, Keine Grenzen, was a very powerful peace ballad enhanced by the original voice of the male lead singer of the group Ich Troje.
This year Ich Troje are back and with the help of the rapper Real McCoy they will defend the Polish colours in Athens. The song is will again be performed in 3 languages, Polish, English and Spanish and its called Follow my heart. The composer was André Franke and the lyrics were made by Michal Wisniewski, William Lennox and Real McCoy.
In 2003 Ich Troje was one of my favourite acts of that year, but this time they are on the rock bottom of my chart. The lyrics are very silly, the mix with all the languages is not so good, the act is very messy, with too many singers on stage and the mix of rap with that weird voice looks rather strange.
The song is modern but nothing much so I don’t expect them to go to the final.
Points for the song: 2 (in 1 to 8, 10 and 12)
And for the video: 1 (from 1 to 5)

  • Não é por nada, mas não gosto de canções que misturam línguas só para ganhar pontos. Se eles pensam que é assim que vão lá, estão bem enganados. Penso eu de que.
