On the road to Helsinki: Albania decides

The general reaction towards it among fans doesn't seem to be a very good one. I dont love it either but since the song is far too long to be in Eurovision there is still hope they can make a song out of this. To listen to the song click here.

Nucha to Helsinki? RTP says no!

RTP seems to have refused it. I dont think the song is that bad, at least not worse then many other "songs" that have competed in recent editions of our national preselection.
You can listen to the song called And now here.

On the road to Helsinki: Moldova decides

This is a very nice song to start the 2007 season. A rock ballad with a powerfull voice and a nice chorus. Natalia deserves our respect since she will be financing herself to go to Helsinki because the Moldovian tv can only afford to pay the participation fee. I wish her good luck.
Click here to listen to the demo version of the song.

Song of the week: Love me tonight
Words are not enough to describe her! She has been one os the most unforgetable singers to appear on the Eurovision stage in the last couple of years, she is Angelica Agurbash. Some love her and others love to hate her but her voice will never be forgoten and she has won her place in the Eurovision history. I admit I loved her from the start, since Boy's and girl's I was shure she was a true diva.
She recently tried to enter the 2007 Belarussian preselection but her new song Miracle was disqualified which was a shame because she would have given us more great eurovision moments we would never forget.
Love me tonight
I wish you could be near me
I seek your eyes to thrill me
So take your chance and feel me
I am ready now
(I dream of you by my side)
Move closer, baby
(You've got a place in my mind)
I'm with you, baby
(Do it to me one more time)
I'm waiting, baby
Give me the time of my life
Love me tonight
And I'll love you forever
It's no sin, it's no crime
That I want you mine
Love me tonight
I need you more than ever
You can make me feel right
Just love me tonight
Love me tonight
I've got no hesitation
It's my infatuation
Your touch is an obsession
I'm addicted now
(I dream of you by my side)
Move closer, baby
(You've got a place in my mind)
I'm with you, baby
(Do it to me one more time)
I'm waiting, baby
Give me the time of my life
Love me tonight
I need you more than ever
You can make me feel right
Just love me tonight
(Do it to me one more time)
(Give me the time of my life)
(Give me the time of my life)
Love me tonight
I need you more than ever
You can make me feel right
Just love me tonight
Love me tonight
Love me tonight
Love you forever
And we'll be together
So just stay with me for the night
Love me tonight

Malta Song for Europe 2007: Olivia Lewis
Olivia Lewis has been taking part in the Maltese national finals since 1997. That's 10 times and still nothing... Is there any other person in the world so anxious to go to Eurovision??? In 2004, 2005 and 2006 she came second and I think its now time Malta sends her to Eurovision. Let's just hope it doens't happen to her the same that happen to Tor Endresen, he tried 7 times before finally having the chance to represent Norway in 1997 and end up with null points. quarta-feira, dezembro 06, 2006
Song of the week: Moja štikla
Croatia has been one of my favourite countries in ESC history. This year they brought to the Eurovision stage their most relaxed and fun song ever: Moja štikla by Severina, reaching 12th place with 56 points. It was not a brilliant result but Moja štikla wasn't a typical Eurovision song either. We haven't seen another song so passionate about shoes since the 1984 Swedish entry. On the other only two other songs already qualified for the final (Romania and Greece) scored higher them Croatia on the big night so their result wasn't that bad after all. I would like to see the ESC going to the Balcans again and considering all their previous contributions to the contest Croatia is the country that should win it first. But we will have to wait and see because I imagine Serbia will bring another great song to Helsinki. My stiletto
For the grass has not yet sprouted
Where my stiletto has stepped
(Come here, come here, come here)
Hop, hop, hop, hop
(Go, my chick)
Tick-tock, around half past two
You'll pinch me, so that nobody can see it
I know them well, guys like you
The devils are your godfathers
Ring, ring, you'll search for my number
Knock, knock, go knocking somewhere else
(Darling, girl, come and tighten your socks)
For the grass has not yet sprouted
Where my stiletto has stepped
Oyda da, oyda day, oyda day day
Oyda da, oyda day, oyda day day
Oyda da, oyda day, oyda day day
Oyda da, oyda day, my, my stiletto
(Six) seven, (six) eight, (six) nine
(Six) Mine
(Once again, girl)
S... s... s... sex
(Hop, hop, shake, shake)
Tick-tock, around half past two
You'll nibble me, so that nobody can see it
A golden ring, thin moustache
Oh boy, I know them well, guys like you
Ring, ring, you'll search for my number
Shoo, shoo, go off to someone else
(Darling, girl, come and tighten your socks)
For the grass has not yet sprouted
Where my stiletto has stepped
Oyda da, oyda day, oyda day day
Oyda da, oyda day, oyda day day
Oyda da, oyda day, oyda day day
Oyda da, oyda day, my, my stiletto
(Zoomba, zoomba, zoomba, zoomba)
(Hay, straw, cheese, salami)
(Risi-bisi, a bigger pot)
(Red beet, red beet)
Africa, paprika
(Hey... hey...)
(Go, girl)(Six, seven, eight, nine)

OGAESC 2006
