Armenia: Without your love

Armenia is ready for their first participation on the Eurovision Song Contest and will have the honour of opening the 2006 contest, being the first to sing in the semi-final.
Without your love is the name of their song and according to the ARMTV ESC site the lyrics tell the story of a boy, who loved a girl that for some reason doesn’t love him anymore.
The Armenian entry was composed by Armen Martirosyan, has lyrics by Catherine Bekian and was produced by Ara Torosyan. The singer is Andre, who was chosen by the Armenian broadcaster after being elected singer of the year in 2004 and 2005.
Presumably he is one of Armenia biggest singers. He started learning music at the early age of 6 and has since participated in many international music contests.
I haven’t heard any of Andre other songs but this one surprised me in a very good way. I think that if we want to take part in something we should do it the best and most professional way we can and Armenia seems to have been seeing the Eurovision very carefully in the last years, and bring us a very professional and eurovisionesque song and video.
I would love to see them go to the final and reaching a good position. With a good stage performance, this Ricky Martin meets Sertab Erener song follows the recent trend of eurovision uptempo ethnic songs. Maybe if it came from some other country like Greece, Servia or Turkey fans would be mad about it, because it comes from Armenia the reactions are not so enthusiastic. For me it is one of my favourite songs this year.

Belgium calling… Without your love is very much like Sertab Everyway that I can, so I don’t think this is very original song.
I don't like that cut rhythm, but after first chorus it gets better.
The instrumental break is over the top, too long and too much CHAOS.
I give it 13 points in 20.
