Song of the Week: Ne partez pas sans moi

Here is another of my favourite Eurovision songs of all time: Ne partez pas sans moi.

This song won the ESC in 1988, performed by the world famous Celine Dion, being the last song to win the contest that was performed in french and also the last winning singer to gain worldwide fame after triumphing in the Eurovision. Althouh the contest didnt actually contribute mutch to Celine sucess.

Ne partez pas sans moi represented Switzerland and won the contest in the last jury to vote, with only one point more them the U.K. song Go performed by Scott Fitzgerald.

In the 50th aniversary of the ESC this song was choosen as one of the all time best songs of the eurovision, probably not only because of its musical quality but mutch because of the person who sang it.

The authors of Ne partez pas sans moi also wrote another of my favourite songs Pas pours moi, which ended second in Bergen back in 1986.
